Veins of Steel was a yearlong project of touring and drawing CF&I’s coal mines, towns, and the steel mill in Pueblo, Colorado. While on location, drawings were made of the current state of the mines and the altered landscapes that that they left behind. After the completion of onsite work, a series of paintings were created and  exhibited alongside the drawings at the Steelworks Museum in the fall of 2016. A Colorado Creative Industries grant was awarded to support the project.
